Prof. Jella Satyanarayana is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over 31 years of experience in teaching, agricultural research, extension, and institutional leadership. He specializes in Entomology, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), agricultural education, curriculum development, and institutional governance.

He holds a Ph.D. in Entomology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, along with M.Sc. (Ag) and B.Sc. (Ag) degrees from the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

Throughout his career, Prof. Satyanarayana has served as Senior Professor, Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor, while also holding key administrative positions including Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Agriculture, and Associate Dean. He has taught diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students and guided numerous postgraduate and doctoral researchers.

His research career includes leadership of eight externally funded research projects and significant contributions to Integrated Pest Management technologies for major agricultural pests. His work has been demonstrated across 100+ acres in Telangana, supporting farmers and agricultural stakeholders.

Prof. Satyanarayana has published 58+ research papers, authored four books and three book chapters, and contributed extensively to farmer training, agricultural extension, workshops, seminars, and public awareness through radio and television.

His recognitions include the ICAR Senior FellowshipState Award to University TeachersUniversity Meritorious Teacher Award, and fellowships of the Entomological Society of India and Indian Society of Oilseeds Research.

With extensive experience in academic leadership, research, stakeholder engagement, and agricultural policy, Prof. Jella Satyanarayana remains committed to advancing future-ready agricultural education, research, innovation, and extension.

Advisor and Scientist

Formerly Senior Professor/ principal scientist and university head of entomology at ANGRAU AND PJTSAU . Had Doctoral degree in 1983 with specialization in Pesticide Residues, Insect Toxicology and worked for more than 33 years indifferent capacities as Professor/ Researcher and Extension scientist.

Specialisation: food safety and food security issues, pesticide residues, insect toxicology and IPM. He is involved in farmer empowerment and entrepreneurship development initiatives in agri-ecosystem.

Worked in collaboration with CIMMYT, Mexico on breeding for Insect Resistance and on innovative technologies in sugarcane, Potato, Ginger and Turmeric.
