Joseph Cox is a Chief Strategy Adviser, Applied Economist and Publisher with more than three

decades of executive leadership and advisory experience spanning economic development,

private sector development, governance, public policy and regional integration.

As Managing Partner of Joseph Cox & Associates Limited, he advises governments, international

organisations, financial institutions, corporations and legal teams on complex economic,

institutional and strategic challenges. His work encompasses strategic intelligence, applied

economics, governance advisory, litigation support and engagements as Litigation Support.

He is Founder and Publisher of the Caribbean Business Review Strategic Intelligence Ecosystem,

comprising CBR Intelligence Notes, which publishes long-form original research; Caribbean

Financial Dispatch, an executive intelligence publication; and Caribbean Business Review, a

multimedia platform for informed public dialogue. His analysis helps decision-makers understand

not only what is happening, but why it matters and what it means.

His previous senior appointments include Assistant Secretary-General of the CARICOM

Secretariat and Executive Director of the Growth Secretariat at the Planning Institute of Jamaica.

His strategic contributions include the CARICOM COVID-19 Economic Reopening Strategy,

unanimously endorsed by COTED; the Financial Information and Real-Time Matchmaking (FIRM)

initiative, which mobilised approximately J$1.9 billion for Jamaican businesses; and major

competitiveness and institutional reforms undertaken through the GOJ–IDB Competitiveness

Enhancement Programme.

He is the author of The New Normal — A Post-COVID Primer for Business and From SORROW to

L.U.C.K. and is a prolific speaker and writer on Caribbean economics, governance, geopolitics and

strategic decision-making.

Shashi

Advisor and Scientist

Formerly Senior Professor/ principal scientist and university head of entomology at ANGRAU AND PJTSAU . Had Doctoral degree in 1983 with specialization in Pesticide Residues, Insect Toxicology and worked for more than 33 years indifferent capacities as Professor/ Researcher and Extension scientist.

Specialisation: food safety and food security issues, pesticide residues, insect toxicology and IPM. He is involved in farmer empowerment and entrepreneurship development initiatives in agri-ecosystem.

Worked in collaboration with CIMMYT, Mexico on breeding for Insect Resistance and on innovative technologies in sugarcane, Potato, Ginger and Turmeric.
