Food Safety Conference 2019 Press Release 23.8.
International Industry Experts, Scientists and Specialists come to Kingston Jamaica 24-25th September 2019, to talk food safety regulations and the exporting of food.
Kingston, Jamaica. 24-25th September 2019. Food exports and tourism are the backbone of the Jamaican economy. These sectors cannot afford foods being rejected at international borders or foodborne illness turning tourists away from coming to Jamaica. Those who export foods including farmers, producers, agri-processers and manufacturers must deal with the many global challenges of continually changing international regulations. Those who work in food service and hospitality whether in hotels or resorts, restaurants and institutions such as schools, hospitals, retailers and caterers must comply with recently revised regulations at home and internationally.
If you are a decision maker in the food safety, export or tourism fields, then this conference is of special interest to you. Positioned as a premier educational experience, get the latest information about best food handling practices as well as regulatory aspects of food coming from afar or locally produced foods being sent to international markets. There are forward-thinking presentations in the line-up too.
Plan to join in on the plenary sessions for the latest information, the workshops for how-to materials, and the reception for networking opportunities. “The Food Hygiene Bureau is once again bringing in speakers for Caribbean food safety and other professionals to get the latest information while at home, helping them to work better and smarter,“ says Marva Hewitt, a well known and recognized food safety educator and trainer in Jamaica.
